COMMENTS: FAL 7 term 1 1=This year in French Language Arts, we began with learning survival phrases for the immersion classroom. We then learned basic vocabulary and sentences to allow us to say the date, describe ourselves, our families and our likes and dislikes. Afterwards, we did a unit on food and students worked hard on their group menu assignments. 2=#N best demonstrated #h knowledge of French on #h #7assignment #assignmenttype. COMMENTS: Health Comments 1=The delivery model of our Health curriculum this year was divided in such a way that Enrichment teachers taught Health on Wellness Wednesdays with a focus on Outcomes 1& 2 (making safe and healthy choices & developing skills to form and maintain healthy relationships) and Homeroom teachers delivered Health lessons on Fridays with a focus on Outcome 3 (working towards lifelong goals). 2=Concepts covered on Wellness Wednesdays were gratitude, pink shirt day and nutrition. 3=#N was able to set personal SMART goals and strategies for #s in IRIS this year. #E reflected on #h goals at the beginning of term two to reassess steps and strategies necessary to meet #h goals by June. 4=We also completed a film study on 'The Social Dilemma' and discussed the impacts of social media on our lives and society. We began with essential phrases for the immersion classroom, then, we learned learned how to say things about ourselves, our family, our favorite places and to describe clothing.
